House backs GOP bill to boost energy production

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House approved a bill Thursday aimed at expanding domestic oil drilling and reining in what Republicans call excessive regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency.

It’s the second energy or environment-related measure approved this week by the GOP-controlled House. Both bills are expected to die in the Democratic-controlled Senate.
