The wife of the gunman who killed 49 at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., in 2016 was found not guilty of all charges Friday.
Noor Salman, 31, faced charges of obstruction and providing material support to a terrorist organization.
Jury deliberations lasted almost three days. Salman did not testify during the trial, and she faced life in prison if convicted.
Her husband, Omar Mateen, opened fire on June 12, 2016, at Pulse nightclub, killing 49 and injuring 53 others.
Mateen had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State during the shooting, and was killed by police during a shootout after a three-hour standoff inside the club.
Prosecutors argued she helped her husband plan the attack. After her arrest, she told the FBI she knew her husband was planning something.
Salman’s attorneys argued for a mistrial after court documents revealed Mateen’s father worked as an FBI informant for more than 10 years. He is under criminal investigation.
