Eveline Anna Marie Bergmann, of Joppatowne, who was charged with the murder of her husband Friday, will await her trial in jail after a Harford County District Court judge denied her bail Monday.

Bergmann, 46, appeared before Judge Victor Butanis Monday afternoon via a closed-circuit television link between the district court and the Harford County Detention Center. After hearing a recounting of the crime, Butanis decided to keep Bergmann behind bars.
