Gov. Scott Walker thanks Trump for calling to check in on his mother at the hospital

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker thanked President Trump on Saturday for calling in to check in on his mother, who he said is in the hospital.

Walker also thanked Vice President Mike Pence and wife Karen Pence for their prayers.

“Thanks to @POTUS for calling to check on my mother and for prayers from @VP and Karen Pence. She is doing much better now,” Walker tweeted.

Earlier in the day, Walker tweeted out that not only did he spend time with his mother at the hospital, but also with his father in rehab.

“Was with my mom at the hospital & my dad at rehab. Both are much better today. Thx for the prayers & get-well wishes for them!”, he tweeted.

It is unclear just what his parents are receiving treatment for.

Walker, who was an early drop out in the GOP presidential contest that Trump won, was in Washington, D.C., last week for the National Governors Association meeting. He dined with Trump, as well as Florida Gov. Rick Scott last Saturday for lunch.
