WHO: Georgia Department of Transportation
WHAT: With nearly 250 stimulus projects waiting to go, the state plans to spend $1,500 apiece for ten-foot-tall orange road signs announcing that the projects are funded by the stimulus package.
WHO IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Not only is GDOT thus wasting taxpayers’ money to publicize its spending of taxpayers’ money, but it is also requiring a minimum of two such signs for each project. It costs an additional $100 to install each one.
WHERE TO VENT: Georgia Department of Transportation, (404) 631-1990.
