Clinton rings ‘alarm’ on Trump claim only he can fix U.S.

Republican nominee Donald Trump’s convention line that he alone can fix America should “set off alarm bells for everybody,” according to his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.

“We know better than to believe anyone who says I alone can fix it,” she said during a rally in Johnstown, Pa., on Saturday. “By saying that, he is forgetting what all the rest of us do every day.”

Clinton then rattled off the contributions of businesses, unions, soldiers and others.

“He is forgetting companies like this one that invest in employees,” Clinton said at Johnstown Wire Technologies, which hosted the rally.

The newly minted Democratic nominee went on to criticize the GOP convention in Cleveland about a week ago.

“At each convention, you get four days telling the country what they want to do,” she said. “At the Republican convention, they spent more time on insults for me than jobs for you.”

Clinton also slammed Republican economic policies, including tax cuts for high earners.

“When people come around and say they are going to cut taxes on the wealthiest Americans, we have seen this before and it does not end well,” she said.
