Bridge demolition set for Sunday morning

Published

Part of the old Woodrow Wilson Bridge will be destroyed Sunday morning, the first of four demolitions projects planned for this month.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday, work crews will detonate explosives to break up the west counterweight box, which is a large block of concrete built into the west pier that keep the drawbridge balanced.
