THE DAILY OUTRAGE: It’s like LoJack, but for your recycling

WHO: The city of Dayton, Ohio

WHAT: In an effort to boost recycling, the city of Dayton is using a $500,000 stimulus grant to buy new jumbo recycling bins with microchips embedded inside to track participation.

WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: $500,000 is a lot to spend on garbage cans, not to mention the fact that no one wants a creepy “smart can” that guilts you into separating your paper from plastic.

WHERE TO VENT: Contact the city of Dayton’s office at 937-333-3333.
