GREENBURGH, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a chaperone on a bus taking boys home from a party lit into them with a death-threatening, foul-mouthed tirade after one boy threw a piece of candy.
A recording of the rant was posted on the Scarsdale10583 community website.
Greenburgh police Lt. B.J. Ryan said the recording was from a bus trip taking 12- and 13-year-old boys to Greenburgh after a Saturday bat mitzvah in Manhattan.
On the recording, the man shouts, “Who did it? … The driver will kill you! … One more time, you will die, you will bleed. …”
Ryan would not release the name of the man. Website founder Joanne Wallenstein said she did not know it.
The lieutenant said the tirade was disturbing but the investigation did not find it to be criminal.
