‘Really want to see who he chooses’: Meghan McCain needs to know Biden running mate before voting for him

Meghan McCain needs to see presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s running mate before she can commit to voting for her longtime family friend.

McCain joined the Bravo show Watch What Happens: Live on Wednesday night, during which host Andy Cohen said he was “assuming” McCain would be voting for Biden because of her vocal distaste for President Trump. McCain, however, said she couldn’t make her decision until she sees his full ticket.

“I’m not saying who I’m voting for … but I’m not voting for Trump,” she said. “I really want to see who he chooses, and I want to see how this plays out.”

McCain also said she needs to see the debates and the remainder of the campaign because she is a “last-minute” voter. She said this election cycle has been difficult for her because she typically enjoys presidential elections.

“I’m so spoiled because I’ve loved so many elections, and this one’s not my favorite for a lot of different reasons,” she said.

McCain, who is the conservative co-host on The View and the daughter of former Republican presidential contender John McCain, has been close with the Biden family since Biden and her late father became friends in the United States Senate. Other members of the McCain family are reportedly committed to supporting Biden’s campaign.
