Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh tests positive for COVID-19

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh has tested positive for COVID-19 following a routine test.

Kavanaugh has no symptoms and has been fully vaccinated since January, according to the court. News of the positive test comes ahead of Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s investiture later Friday, which Kavanaugh will no longer attend.

The positive result came on Thursday evening, with his wife and daughters testing negative. He had tested negative on Monday prior to a closed-door meeting with the other justices.
