On Wednesday, Amanda de Cadenet interviewed Hillary Clinton on a variety of topics, including her life in politics and hanging out with her girls.
While talking about women in politics, Clinton said, “I want us to have paid family leave, I want us to have paid sick days, which a lot of people in our country don’t yet have, I want us to make sure that we support, you know, young women in making these important decisions. I didn’t go into politics until—other than through my husband’s political career—until 1999 when I ran for the Senate. And I did that in part because I felt like people wanted me to…”
But that’s not true, according to her own website. Her biography page touts her spearheading Hillarycare under her husband’s administration, her experience as a lawyer for the Congressional Committee investigating President Nixon, and her political experience as first lady of Arkansas.
