Fox News topped cable news ratings during the Democratic primary in New Hampshire.
During prime-time hours, Fox News garnered more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined, accumulating 4,436,000 viewers. MSNBC and CNN obtained 2,616,000 and 1,641,000, respectively, according to early Nielsen Media research.
Fox’s prime-time shows each accumulated over 4 million viewers, with host Sean Hannity’s audience topping 4,718,000, the highest-rated cable news show during the New Hampshire primary.
MSNBC repeatedly surpassed 2 million viewers during the network’s coverage, and CNN consistently remained in third place.
