Elise Stefanik makes strongest case yet to be Trump’s VP: ‘I wouldn’t have done what Mike Pence did’

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), seen as a possible 2024 running mate for former President Donald Trump, burnished her loyalty credentials Thursday when she claimed she would not have certified the 2020 election results if she were vice president on Jan. 6, 2021.

Stefanik said on Thursday she did not think former Vice President Mike Pence had the right approach in certifying the election results and would not have made the same decision.
