Like a lot of big groups, the Heritage Foundation has a sizable endowment of at least $216 million.
But unlike others who prefer to keep the money locked up, new President Kevin Roberts tells Secrets that he’s eager to “deploy” that money to bolster the conservative movement it has a huge role in.
“Our board is very excited about our collective recognition that Heritage, in addition to its other work, has the opportunity to deploy some of this endowment for rebuilding the movement,” he said, pointing to $100,000 in recently awarded Innovation Prizes.
“We are literally investing our material resources in partner organizations who are doing great work. We know at Heritage we can’t do it all, but perhaps we can help finance some of that as we take on the challenges of the Left,” said Roberts
