White House staffers given discount on Trump merch at New Jersey golf course: Report

White House aides can buy Trump-branded merchandise for up to 70 percent off by cashing in a discount offered to staffers at President Trump’s exclusive golf club in Bedminister, N.J., according to a report.

Administration officials who show Trump’s pro shop personnel a Secret Service pin can enjoy the same discounts as full-fledged members, Politico reported Monday. Those benefits range from 15 percent off regularly priced stock to 70 percent off clearance merchandise.

The White House declined to comment to Politico, while a Trump Organization spokeswoman did not respond to the news outlet’s inquiries. Neither entity immediately responded to the Washington Examiner‘s requests for a statement.

Discounts are generally permitted by the Office of Government Ethics if they are accessible to all government employees, per Politico.

News of the discounts follows another blurring of the lines by Trump’s re-election campaign.

The 2020 Trump campaign unveiled a poll last week to decide the logo for merchandise related to president’s Space Force initiative shortly after Vice President Mike Pence laid out the steps for the creation of the sixth military branch during a Pentagon address.
