The Smithsonian National Zoo’s giant panda cub, Bei Bei, celebrated his second birthday at the zoo on Tuesday.
He enjoyed a giant “cake” make out of frozen diluted juice and played in a recycling bin painted with the words “birthday boy.”
Bei Bei’s sister, Bao Bao, the zoo’s former giant female panda, boarded FedEx’s “Panda Express” in February to make her way back China. Once pandas reach maturity, they are sent back to China to participate in a breeding program.
Fans wished the cub a happy birthday on Twitter.
