A top Iranian official taunted President Trump on Twitter after his country fired multiple missiles at U.S. military bases in Iraq.
Saeed Jalili, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, tweeted out a photo of the Iranian flag in response to Trump, who tweeted out a photo of the U.S. flag after the successful operation to kill Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

Iran claimed credit for the missile attacks that targeted two bases housing U.S. troops in Iraq early Wednesday morning, local time.
Soleimani, 62, was the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force and was killed last week in a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad. Soleimani’s successor, Gen. Esmail Ghaani, vowed on Monday to “rid the region of America.” Trump has threatened “major retaliation” if the country seeks revenge.
Trump said he has a list of 52 Iranian targets that might be attacked following an Iranian retaliation. It is unclear if the United States is preparing to respond to Iran following the missile attacks on the bases.
