Former President Donald Trump is holding a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, days after Vice President Kamala Harris replaced President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic Party’s ticket.
Trump’s rally is expected to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern time.

Prior to Biden dropping out of the presidential race, Trump was leading Biden, 47.2% to 41.5%, in North Carolina, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average.
The former president won North Carolina in 2016 and 2020. The Cook Political Report has rated North Carolina as “lean Republican.”
