Vice President Kamala Harris issued a statement on Sunday condemning the suspected assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump. The Democratic nominee for president claimed she is “deeply disturbed” by the attempt on Trump’s life and condemned political violence.

“I am deeply disturbed by the possible assassination attempt of former President Trump today,” Harris said in the statement. “As we gather the facts, I will be clear: I condemn political violence. We all must do our part to ensure that this incident does not lead to more violence.”
