Former President Donald Trump was the special guest of the Tucker Carlson Live Tour in Glendale, Arizona, on Thursday night.
Speaking for nearly two hours on Halloween, the former president covered various topics, from the Mueller investigation and his 2016 presidential campaign to discussions involving former Bush-Cheney administration member Lewis “Scooter” Libby. Trump also talked about contemporary political issues such as illegal immigration and inflation. The former president also had some harsh remarks for his political adversaries such as Vice President Kamala Harris and former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, a Republican.
One of the first topics Trump discussed during his sit-down interview with the former Fox News host was illegal immigration. Calling it the “single biggest issue,” the former president lamented the problems the border security policies of the Biden-Harris administration have caused.
“I happen to think that the border is the single biggest issue,” Trump said. “I think it’s bigger than inflation. The worst thing that’s happened to this country is allowing millions of people in this country that are criminal people.”
He mentioned a significant number of criminals who have allegedly entered the country illegally. In 2016, Trump was known for promising a border wall. However, this time around, Trump says he will implement a “mass deportation” of illegal immigrants if elected.
Later, Trump reflected on his time in office, mentioning the investigations against him and claiming they were baseless and the work of his political opponents. He referenced the Russian collusion accusations and the Mueller report, which Trump claimed exonerated him. He made several references to his previous “enemy from within” comments.
Trump also brought up his pardon of Libby, former chief of staff to former Vice President Dick Cheney, who was indicted in the investigation of the leak of the identity of CIA Officer Valerie Plame. He mentioned how both Libby and Dick Cheney both called Trump to thank him for the pardon.
Trump then shared why he doesn’t like Liz Cheney, saying he feels she was a war hawk in Congress during his term. He made similar criticisms about his former national security adviser, John Bolton.

Trump concluded by saying the country is facing many serious problems that will only be exacerbated if Harris wins the election. He emphasized he is the one who can fix the country.
“We’re going to put our country back together, and we’re going to make it the greatest country in the world again,” Trump said.
