US Senate passes resolution honoring Alan Dixon

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — The U.S. Senate has approved a resolution honoring late U.S. Sen. Alan Dixon of Illinois.

Dixon died Sunday at age 86 at his home in Fairview Heights. The Senate passed the resolution Monday. U.S. Sens. Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk introduced it.
