Man fires at D.C. police, flees to Prince George’s

Police are looking for the man who fired shots at officers in Northeast D.C., then fled into Prince George’s County early Thursday morning.

The incident occurred sometime before 2 a.m. near 60th and Eastern avenues NE, said Officer Tisha Gantz, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitian Police Department .

The officers were not hit. Police returned fire, and it’s not known whether the suspect was hit, Gantz said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a long gray T-shirt.
