A former Trump University employee said he quit the now-defunct venture to help him “sleep at night”, slamming the dubious company in a new 60-second advertisement.
The video from American Future Fund shows Cliff, who identifies himself as an ex-Trump U. salesman, discussing the qualifications of staff and the amount of complaints the organization received on a regular basis.
“When it came to people working directly with the Trump investors, the mentors that they worked with were not as qualified as they thought they were. Literally sat in the same call center that we did, in a cubicle right next to me,” Cliff says in the spot. “Non-stop calls with complaints, and people just totally unhappy with the course. I was ashamed to work there.”
He adds that “I walked away from the job because I thought it would be easier for me to sleep at night.”
The educational firm has come under increased scrutiny on the campaign trail, as have several of Trump’s other failed business projects. There are multiple pending lawsuits against Trump University, with one of them possibly going to trial in California during the general election this year.
