WATCH: Andrew Kerr talks bombshell tapes of Hunter Biden touting influence on father

The Washington Examiner’s Andrew Kerr joined America’s Newsroom Wednesday to discuss new revelations in the Hunter Biden laptop saga.

“[Hunter Biden] was absolutely directly involved in his father’s political career,” Kerr told hosts Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino on Fox News.

Kerr, an investigative reporter, has been working with Jerry Dunleavy, a Justice Department reporter at the Washington Examiner, to uncover more in the Hunter Biden laptop story.

A Dec. 3, 2018, recording, obtained exclusively by Kerr and Dunleavy for the Washington Examiner, revealed that the younger Biden’s involvement in President Joe Biden’s political career runs much deeper than the president’s representatives would have the public believe.

“Hunter is saying that, ‘Yeah, my father will take any policy positions that I want him to adopt,'” Kerr said.

The newly released recordings are from about five months before Joe Biden announced his 2020 presidential campaign, and Hunter Biden seemed well aware ahead of time, he added.

Several texts were also obtained, revealing that Biden claimed to be involved with his father’s political team. He, at one point, told his psychiatrist that he had “been on calls with Dad most of day,” adding that he was “talking what’s next with political team. Slot of polls that are way outside the norm for anyone in the last 20 years of presidential politics.”

Kerr added that he was surprised by “just how candid he was being in that recording.”
