Washington Examiner Senior Writer Joe Concha said Tuesday that former Vice President Kamala Harris will not hold any political office again, adding that her book tour is “celebrating” her massive loss in 2024.
Harris is on a book tour promoting her new book, 107 Days, as questions linger about her political future. Some have speculated she could run for president again in 2028. Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) fueled that speculation Sunday, saying Harris would be an “incredibly strong” candidate for the Democratic nomination.
Concha, however, disagreed, calling her book tour an “absolute disaster.”
“She has sold some books, yes, but she’s basically destroying any chance she has of being president again because she’s made so many enemies on the Democrat side in terms of bashing the [former Transportation Secretary] Pete Buttigiegs of the world for not, I guess, for being gay, or [Democratic Pennsylvania Gov.] Josh Shapiro for being Jewish,” Concha said on Fox Business’s Varney & Co., guesthosted by Ashley Webster.
“Here is what I know: when you run the worst presidential campaign ever, you lose every swing state, the popular vote, Republicans won back the Senate, they held the house, 89% of counties went more red than blue. Why would you write a whole book and go on a book tour celebrating that or trying to explain it?” Concha said.
Harris received pushback last month after revealing in her book why she didn’t choose former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg as her running mate, saying he would have been a good partner “if I were a straight white man.” Buttigieg said he was “surprised” when reading Harris’s comments, and Kennedy Center President Richard Grenell called her a “hypocrite” on X.
Concha also said someone should ask Harris why she didn’t attend the Al Smith dinner or sit down for a one-on-one interview with podcast host Joe Rogan during her campaign. He added he wanted to know why she chose “goofy” Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) as her running mate.
“It was a joke of a campaign, it’s a joke of a book, and we’re never going to see Kamala Harris in any elected office again. Save the tape,” Concha said.

Harris has also claimed during her book tour that she had the “closest” presidential election of the 21st century. Rogan said Harris is spreading a “lie” to her followers, asking, “What are you talking about?”
Harris’s book tour stopped in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, where she condemned the Trump administration and its recent actions on science and the government shutdown. Her next stops include Durham, North Carolina, on Wednesday, and Birmingham, Alabama, on Friday.
