Trump: I expect Lindsey Graham to endorse me

Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump bashed former candidates who have said they will not support him despite signing the Republican National Committee’s pledge to do so, but hinted that one vocal critic may yet come around.

“They are dishonorable,” Trump told Fox News host Greta Van Susteren in a pre-taped interview Wednesday.

“I can think of Jeb Bush signed the pledge and he is not going to honor it so that’s a dishonorable person,” Trump said. “Now, I would imagine he will ultimately honor it because, you know, they wanted me to sign the pledge. Everybody wanted me. I was the big one that everybody wanted me to sign.”

Trump had initially held off on agreeing not to run as a third party candidate and to back whomever was selected as the nominee.

But the New York businessman eventually committed to remain loyal to the party.

Trump said he expects South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a former GOP presidential candidate who had backed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, to come around to his side.

“I actually think he is an honorable person and I think he will sign the pledge. I think that Jeb — I don’t know what he is going to do,” Trump finished.
