LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Three southeast Nebraska communities will share $1.3 million in state grants for housing projects.
The state Department of Economic Development recently announced the grants.

The biggest single grant of $800,000 will go to a nonprofit in Humboldt. The money will help 15 first-time buyers buy homes, and it will help pay for rehabilitation projects at 14 homes.
The city of Seward will receive $349,000 to help rehab seven properties and assist 14 eligible buyers purchase homes.
The final grant of $157,500 will help five first-time buyers purchase homes in Thayer County. That grant will be overseen by a nonprofit in Hebron.
