Fox News is most and least trusted cable news source in America: Poll

Americans are divided over Fox News, with a recent survey finding that it is both the most and least trusted source for news and commentary.

A Suffolk University/USA Today poll released Monday offered 1,000 U.S. voters a list of TV news sources and told them to pick which ones they considered the most and least trustworthy. About 1 in 4 respondents said Fox News was the most trusted source, 12.8% cited PBS/NPR, 10.4% chose CNN, and 6.8% picked MSNBC as being the most trusted. Of those polled, 22.9% said they trusted none of the sources offered.

On the flipside, 39.4% of those surveyed pointed to Fox News as being the most untrustworthy source, while 21.1% chose CNN, 5.9% picked MSNBC, and 0.7% chose PBS/NPR, while 12.9% said they trusted all of the sources.

The list of sources the survey included were CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, ABC, NBC, CBS, C-SPAN, PBS/NPR, and Comedy Central.

The poll was conducted between Aug. 20 and Aug. 25 and has a 3% margin of error.
