Rapper Ice Cube slammed Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas over his wife’s critique of a Black Lives Matter banner in her town, accusing him of “sucka shit.”
“Clarence Thomas can’t even stand up for Black People in his own house,” the former N.W.A. rapper tweeted along with an article about Thomas’ wife, Ginni, who criticized a banner hung in her town related to Black Lives Matter. “Sucka shit,” he added.
Thomas, like Ice Cube, is black. He is a conservative member of the high court.

An email from an account belonging to Ginni Thomas, a conservative who is white, that was shared with the Washington Post, argued that the Black Lives Matter movement is pushing for a “cultural revolution” and “mob rule.”
“BLM is a bit of a dangerous Trojan Horse and they are catching well-meaning people into dangerous posturing that can invite mob rule and property looting,” the email said.“Let’s not be tricked into joining cause with radical extremists seeking to foment a cultural revolution because they hate America.”
The email was apparently in response to a banner hung across Main Street in downtown Clifton, Virginia.
Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Johnson, has spoken up on race issues frequently following the protests that erupted in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death.
The Friday star tweeted “Bye Felicia,” a line from the movie, when it was announced that the television show COPS would be canceled as protesters demonstrated against police brutality and racism.

The rapper also argued that black people should be exempt from taxes because “our bill is paid by now” and suggested that Republican Sen. Rand Paul was a member of the Ku Klux Klan following his proposal of a police reform bill.
