CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — A federal judge has sentenced a former manager at a kosher slaughterhouse in Iowa to 41 months in prison for harboring and exploiting workers who were in the U.S. illegally.

U.S. District Judge Linda Reade said the 41-month sentence for former Agriprocessors Inc. poultry manager Hosam Amara was at the top of the recommended range under sentencing guidelines.
