Clinton to hold in-flight press conference Tuesday

Hillary Clinton is set to hold a press conference Tuesday with reporters traveling on her campaign plane, after facing fierce criticism for her refusal to address the media in 276 days.

Although the Democratic nominee took questions from journalists aboard the jet Monday, she cut the interaction short after suffering another coughing fit.

Critics have questioned whether the pair of self-styled press conferences would put an end to the focus on her inaccessibility with the press, and some have accused Clinton of holding “media availabilities” in the air with a limited number of reporters rather than traditional press conferences.

A story in the Washington Post said it’s an open question whether her streak of no press conferences has ended.
