Mohegan Tribe backs more aid for Connecticut host

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — The chairman of the Mohegan Tribe is advocating for the town that hosts its Connecticut casino to receive a bigger share of the slots revenue it hands over to the state.

The state divides some money from two tribal casinos each year for grants to Connecticut’s 169 cities and towns. The grant’s size depends on factors including the value of state-owned property, population and per-capita income.
