Trump’s sons celebrate Mueller report, blast CNN for ‘lies and discord’

President Trump’s sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump celebrated the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which was released Thursday morning and concluded that the president did not collude with Russia.

“TOLD YA!!!” Donald Trump Jr. gloated on Twitter. “#BetterLuckNextHoax,” he wrote in another tweet.

A 448-page redacted version of the Mueller report found no evidence of collusion between Trump’s campaign and the Russian government prior to the 2016 presidential election. Attorney General William Barr said Thursday that no Americans knowingly aided Russia in its attempts to interfere in the election.

Eric Trump expressed pride for his father and said he was glad the “system” worked.

“Despite nonstop harassment, our country has never been stronger – economically, militarily, from a jobs perspective, etc.,” Eric Trump wrote. “It makes it worth it. @realDonaldTrump will go down as one of the greatest American presidents. I am very proud of him and today the system worked.”

Both of President Trump’s sons also criticized the media’s handling of the Mueller investigation.

“It’s so much fun hate-watching @CNN right now,” Donald Trump, Jr. wrote. “I don’t normally take joy in other people’s misery, but after the lies and discord they sowed for the past 3 years about my family and me I’ll make an exception today.”

Eric Trump also blasted CNN, claiming the network wanted to see America fail.

“Full melt down at @CNN. Fun to watch,” he wrote. “As I have always said, they would rather see our country fail than see my father succeed.”
