President Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski blasted out a fundraising email on behalf of the Great America Agenda PAC on Friday asking supporters to financially support the group’s agenda “to help President Trump ‘drain the swamp’ and get America moving again.”
In the pitch to donors, Lewandowski said supporting the political action committee will help Trump take down special interests.
He also promised the Trump campaign’s post-election “45” hats to those who give $25 or more to the PAC.
Lewandowski founded lobbying firm Avenue Strategies following the election and pitched the project to possible clients as a way to attain access to the White House – a message that could contradict Trump’s campaign message of cutting ties with K Street and Beltway advocacy groups.
Lewandowski defended his affiliation with his personal firm and the PAC to Politico, telling them he is not registered as a lobbyist.
