Grant aids study of stars at Lowell Observatory

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — A project to study star clusters at Lowell Observatory is getting a boost from the National Science Foundation.

The foundation has awarded more than $630,000 to the observatory in northern Arizona. Researchers are looking at star clusters to trace the Milky Way Galaxy’s chemical evolution and history of star formation.
