CFPB oversight legislation clears U.S. House

WASHINGTON (Legal Newsline) — The U.S. House of Representatives this week passed legislation aimed at increasing oversight of the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and reestablishing the bureau as an independent agency funded by Congress.
