President Trump blasted New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for his public response to the coronavirus outbreak, saying he should stop “complaining.”
Trump seemingly responded on social media to a press conference Cuomo gave on Friday, where he accused the federal government of providing “zero, zilch, nada in unrestricted aid.”
“Governor Cuomo should spend more time ‘doing’ and less time ‘complaining’. Get out there and get the job done. Stop talking! We built you thousands of hospital beds that you didn’t need or use, gave large numbers of Ventilators that you should have had, and helped you with testing that you should be doing,” Trump tweeted.
“We have given New York far more money, help and equipment than any other state, by far, & these great men & women who did the job never hear you say thanks,” he added. “Your numbers are not good. Less talk and more action!”

Cuomo said on Friday the federal government is insufficiently funding his state, arguing it inhibits his ability to effectively mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
“The state should this, the state should this, the state should this. Yes. Well, what support have you given the states? None. I mean, how can that even be? How is it even plausible as a strategy? It doesn’t work,” Cuomo said.
“We need financial resources to stabilize the states because when you starve the state governments, you know, I still eat. Dr. Zucker still eats, but we can’t fund schools, we can’t fund hospitals, we can’t fund small business, we can’t fund all these extraordinary efforts we’re undertaking. It makes no sense,” he added.
