Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West thanked President Trump for meeting with her to discuss prison reform on Wednesday.
“I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon,” she tweeted.
Kardashian West continued to express her optimism that Trump will consider her request that he grant clemency to Alice Marie Johnson, a 62-year-old woman serving a life sentence without parole for a nonviolent drug offense.

In a follow-up tweet, she said she is hopeful that Johnson, and those with similar cases, will have a “second chance at life.”

Trump also appeared to view the meeting as positive. Following the meet with Kardashian West, he shared a photo of the unusual pair on Twitter with the caption: “Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing.”

The reality star and her lawyer met with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner before meeting with the president.
