Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson said Thursday that he’d rather be shot in the head than be forced to vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.
“The View” host Joy Behar asked Johnson who he’d pick if he had a gun pointed at his head and had to choose either one of the candidates.
“I’d let it go off,” Johnson replied.
Johnson also fielded tough questions from Behar about his disastrous interview on MSNBC in which he asked “What is Aleppo?”
Behar called the Aleppo comment a “disqualifying statement” to which Johnson responded, “Fair enough.”
“So will you get out of the race now?” Behar retorted.
“No,” Johnson responded with a laugh.
Johnson’s flub comes just one day after 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney suggested Johnson should be allowed to be on the presidential debate stage. Johnson has since issued a statement acknowledging and apologizing for the Aleppo gaffe.
Johnson currently has around 9 percent support in a RealClearPolitics average of polls, and needs 6 more points to qualify for the debates.
