ROODHOUSE, Ill. (AP) — A 19-year-old man cutting down trees in a rural area in western Illinois was killed when he was struck by a falling tree, authorities said.

The Greene County Coroner told The Jacksonville Journal-Courier (http://bit.ly/YAJACj ) that Nicholas J. Alexander was with another person logging trees behind a residence on a farm near the tiny community of Roodhouse on Wednesday when he was killed.
