LET’S FIND A DEAL: Summer airfares are averaging $431, up 2.6 percent from last year, according to Kayak.com. But there are still plenty of deals to be found if travelers have a sense of adventure and a willingness to fly on short notice. For instance, each Tuesday, airlines email offers for that coming weekend or the following one to fliers who have signed up for alerts.
