‘Believes in truly open speech’: Mark Levin urges followers to ditch Facebook and Twitter for Parler

Conservative radio show host Mark Levin urged people to ditch their Facebook and Twitter accounts and use the platform Parler instead because of Big Tech censorship.

“Hurry and follow me at Parler. I’m trying to encourage as many of you as possible to immediately join me there as I may not stay at Facebook or Twitter if they continue censoring me. And one day, I’ll have left their platforms. Parler is a wonderful alternative and is growing, and we need you there ASAP. It believes in truly open speech. Thank you!” Levin said Sunday morning.

Levin warned last week that he’s “had it with Facebook” after repeated disputes over censorship of his page.

“I’ve had it with Facebook,” Levin said on his show last Monday. “They can do what they want. We will continue to simultaneously post so it’ll be in all three places, but I won’t be looking at Facebook anymore. If you want to make comments, you should go to Parler, or you should go to Twitter.”

“I’m not going to spend too much time on this, but I want to strongly encourage you to leave Facebook,” he added. “If you want to interact with us, no longer will we be interacting on Facebook. We’ll be there. But my kids are right, they’re a dinosaur. A dinosaur run by leftists and enough is enough.”

He said last week that Facebook put “severe restrictions” on his Facebook page just ahead of the election that was “based on an extremely dishonest Politifact review.”

“Facebook has now placed severe restrictions on my Facebook page on the eve before the election based on an extremely dishonest Politifact review of my link to an accurate story. I will not be intimidated or threatened by Facebook. You can also find my posts on Twitter and Parler,” he said.

The Parler app has jumped on the list of most popular apps downloaded, coming in the first spot on Apple’s “Top Free Apps” as of Sunday morning.

Conservative commentator Dan Bongino, who has an ownership stake in the social media platform, highlighted the jump in Parler users, saying a “sleeping giant” has awoken.

“The media and the anti-Trump lunatics have awakened a sleeping giant. We gave a collective middle finger to the tech tyrants as Parler remains the NUMBER ONE most downloaded app in the world. Thank you!” Bongino said.
