President Trump claimed Friday he triumphed over the Democratic National Committee and “Democrat crazies” in a lawsuit alleging his presidential campaign conspired with Russia to publish hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee.
“Just won lawsuit filed by the DNC and a bunch of Democrat crazies trying to claim the Trump Campaign (and others), colluded with Russia. They haven’t figured out that this was an excuse for them losing the election!” Trump tweeted Friday.

Trump was referencing a ruling from U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Huvelle on Tuesday.
Huvelle tossed out the lawsuit filed by two DNC donors and a former DNC staffer alleging the Trump campaign and Roger Stone, a longtime informal adviser to Trump, conspired with Russia and WikiLeaks to publish the stolen DNC emails during the 2016 campaign.
She did not rule on the merits of the case.
“Washington, D.C., is not the proper venue for plaintiffs’ suit,” Huvelle wrote. “It bears emphasizing that this court’s ruling is not based on a finding that there was no collusion between the defendants and Russia during the 2016 presidential election.”
Protect Democracy, an anti-Trump group that helped file the lawsuit, said it may refile its complaint in a different court.
