Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and communications director Candace Owens were harassed by protesters Monday morning at a cafe in Philadelphia.
Protesters can be seen in a video on Owen’s Twitter account, confronting her and Kirk while attempting to eat breakfast at Green Eggs Café and chanting, “ F–k white supremacy.” One protester went so far as to dump a bottle of water on Kirk as he began recording the encounter.

“To be clear: ANTIFA, an all-white fascist organization, just grew violent and attacked an all-black and Hispanic police force,” Owens said on Twitter. “Because I, a BLACK woman, was eating breakfast. Is this the civil rights era all over again?”

Owens thanked Philadelphia police for “keeping us safe,” adding that “they were all Hispanic and black. The white liberal thugs were shouting ‘no good cops in a racist system.'”
Would like to personally and publicly thank the @PhillyPolice force for keeping us safe today. As you can see in the video, they were all Hispanic and black. The white liberal thugs were shouting “no good cops in a racist system”.

“After all these years, white Democrats still believe that they own black people. When you go against how they desire you to think, they viciously attack you,” she continued. “I was proud to stand with conviction alongside the minority police force today. I escaped the leftist plantation.”
In a tweet of his own, Kirk claimed there would have been a double-standard if conservatives had been behind the protest.
“If a angry conservative mob formed while two young liberals, one white guy and a black woman, were eating breakfast, and the mob hurled horrific insults, threw objects and assaulted them, the left would call it a ‘hate crime’ and every major outlet would be demanding condemnation,” Kirk said.
[Opinion: A leftist mob just made martyrs of Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens]

The confrontation is the latest in a string of encounters between left-wing protesters and Trump supporters, exacerbated by Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., calling for public confrontations against members of the Trump administration.
When asked whether Democrats should be condemning this behavior, Democratic strategist Cathy Areu said on Fox News Monday morning that President Trump is to blame for the encounter because of the bad example he has set for the country.
“Yeah the president should say enough! So not just the Democrats, the president should be saying enough is enough and so he’s tweeting against Maxine Waters so it just seems that this irresponsible unpredictable behavior is coming from the top and we need to stop being such a divisive nation, Democrats versus Republicans and stop with this madness already and it starts at the top.”
