Nominees were announced Thursday morning for the new class of inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The list is a ecclectic one, covering everything from a Canadian rock band to an 80s pop group. Here’s the list:

The final inductees will be announced in April 2013 after a group artists, music historians and industry members cast their votes.
