Knicks (19-37) at Wizards (20-35)

Just another day with the Wizards.

Ladies and gentlemen, starting lineup number 22 of the season will be: Randy Foye, Mike Miller, Andray Blatche, Al Thornton and James Singleton. In case you might have thought Washington was moving toward historical territory, the Warriors have used more than 30 different lineups.

But anyway, JaVale McGee was late for shootaround and has been relegated to the bench.

Foye banged his left knee in the first quarter of the Memphis game two nights ago and didn’t practice yesterday, but he passed whatever fitness test the team put him through and is good to go.

“He still needs to be aggressive because he becomes one dimensional,” said Wizards head coach Flip Saunders when asked about Foye’s improved assist-to-turnover ratio of late. “He’s either looking to pass the ball, or he’s looking to shoot it, and he’s got to be able to do both. He’s got to be able to decipher when he can look to shoot it and when he can look to pass it.”

But the story is oft-injured Shaun Livingston. Saunders said the reason was, “Just to give him an opportunity, for us to look at him and see what he can do. But he’s definitely been a guy that’s always been able to pass the ball. He’s a guy that if he can ever get healthy again – he doesn’t have to get to a hundred percent – he’s got unbelievable basketball instincts, a high IQ and can really pass the ball.”

Saunders said the Wizards had worked out Livingston prior to his earning a training camp spot with Oklahoma City.

“To his credit, he’s fought himself back,” said Saunders. “He made Oklahoma City the beginning of the year. Randy Wittman had him in last year in September, and seeing him from where he is now, it’s a hundred percent difference from where he was.”

The Knicks have lost eight straight since they beat the old Wizards on Feb. 3.
