Former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said President Trump will be addressing the nation on election night.
Conway, who led Trump’s campaign to victory in 2016 and held a White House role until the end of August, broke the news of a presidential address during an appearance on ABC News as the network covered the election.
“You will hear from the president tonight. … The president is expected to address the nation later from the East Room of the White House,” she said.

Neither the White House nor the Trump campaign responded immediately to a request to confirm her report.
As of 8:13 p.m. EST, the presidential race between Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden is far from over. Biden had 85 electoral votes, and Trump had 55, with many states yet to have a winner.
