ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — The University of Georgia Foundation’s board of trustees has elected a new member.

The board voted unanimously to elect Brenda A. Thompson as a trustee. She had been serving as an advisory trustee since July. Thompson had been nominated to finish the term of Don Perry, who died last summer. That term expires in June 2016.
