State Dept. declares 261 new Clinton emails classified

Published

State Department officials declared 261 of Hillary Clinton’s private emails classified Monday when the agency released the final batch of the former secretary of state’s records.

The batch included 1,723 emails, totaling more than 3,800 pages. Its release marked the end of a months-long process of reviewing and redacting Clinton’s private emails for release at the end of each month, a process that began last summer with a judge’s ruling in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Jason Leopold of Vice News.
